I'm a professional translator, copywriter and proofreader. I earned my Master of Arts degree in translation and interpreting from Heriot-Watt University in May of 2020. In July of that same year, I took a leap of faith and moved to Barcelona, where I got a job as an in-house English translator and proofreader at Datawords. 

During my time at this company, I developed a keen eye for detail and learned more than I ever thought possible about the English language. A couple of months in, I started taking on copywriting projects and won several bids to write copy for well-known brands. After the first year, my contract renewal came with a title change: In-House Translator and Copywriter.

Having spent just over a year and a half at Datawords, I decided to accept a new job as English Department Manager at Audioprojects, also based in Barcelona, where I was able to develop a whole new range of skills over the 7 months I worked there.

After 2 years in Barcelona, I decided it was time to move back to Scotland to pursue freelancing full-time. I now work on a range of projects for clients from all over the globe.

Although freelancing full-time is new, I've taken on a variety of freelance work in my spare time, both for companies and individuals, since mid-2020, earning glowing feedback from my clients. This work has allowed me to translate a wide range of texts in a wide range of fields: beauty, fashion, travel, film and news to name just a few.
